Kitschy and confrontational, this dance short is a darkly playful take on the dynamics of seeing and being seen.

Dance
In the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas, underwater performer and professional dancer Arianda Hafez conducts “The Deepest Dance,” a choreographed routine set on a variety of sunken shipwrecks. She dives and tumbles through the sea, climbing and stretching along the coral-studded ships as fish swim placidly by. With nothing but the air in her lungs, she defies the elements as she runs along the seafloor and performs flips with powerful grace.
