Myths, miracles, and mysteries come to life in this captivating concert from The London Symphony Orchestra led by Barbara Hannigan.

The heart of this program is a deeply moving new work from Iranian composer Golfam Khayam, "Je ne suis pas une fable a conter" (I am not a tale to be told). The piece, written in collaboration with Hannigan, is based on a poem by Ahmad Shamlou and blends contemporary and classical styles with ancient Persian musical traditions, creating a powerful meditation on hope and resilience.

Joseph Haydn's elegant "Symphony No.39" brings a vibrant energy to the program, followed by Debussy's otherworldly solo flute work "Syrinx," inspired by the myth of Pan. The celestial concert program continues with Sibelius's mesmerizing symphonic poem based on Finnish mythology, which depicts the birth of the world through sweeping waves of sound. Finally, Bartok's bold and dramatic ballet score brings the concert to a close with gripping intensity. With Hannigan's brilliant conducting and singing, this cleverly curated concert is one you won't want to miss.
